Slovenia has emerged as a must-visit European destination, shattering tourism records in 2024 with 6.6 million visitors, a 6.3% increase from the previous year.

The surge has been driven largely by foreign tourists, with Germany, Italy, Austria, and Croatia topping the list of visitors, while Serbia saw a notable 15% rise in its travelers.

Visitors generated 16.9 million overnight stays, up 4.5%, with nearly half opting for hotels, though private accommodations and campsites also saw significant demand.

Slovenia’s diverse offerings—from its snow-capped Alps and world-renowned ski resorts to the serene beauty of Lake Bled—continue to attract global attention.

Ljubljana, the country’s charming capital, experienced a nearly 13% jump in visitors, with over 1.2 million tourists passing through.

Coastal destinations and health resorts also enjoyed booming interest, reinforcing Slovenia’s status as a rising star on the European tourism map.
