Montenegro’s state utility EPCG and Norway’s NTE Energy have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation on renewable energy development.

The agreement, signed 30 July, paves the way for joint projects in hydropower, grid upgrades, and potentially offshore wind.

The move reflects Podgorica’s broader shift toward sustainable energy strategies and follows the EU’s renewed call for regional alignment with climate targets.

Norway’s entry signals growing investor confidence in Montenegro’s green transition—if political momentum holds.
