Having One Job is Not Enough To Live Comfortabily in Croatia

Rising housing, food, and fuel prices are pushing many Croatians to seek extra income, with 21% now working a second job, according to a recent MojaPlaća survey.

Common second jobs include service sector roles such as waiting tables, cleaning, passenger transport, and occasional manual work.

Many feel that a single salary is no longer enough for a decent standard of living, with some even considering a third job.

Another 35% are contemplating extra work, citing financial dissatisfaction or a desire for a new challenge, while 16% are not seeking additional employment, often due to sufficient current income or family/work commitments.

The survey also noted that the average monthly net salary in Croatia is €1,539, though many believe €2,000 is needed for a dignified standard of living.
